My name is Sandra, I’m 29, and I live in Oslo with the two men of my life. What’s with the stupid code name, you might think? Within the community I’m researching in connection to my masters degree, everyone has a code name. So when I first started making connections, I used the net and the forums, and had to register with a user name. And I like Sandy Eye Candy. Come for the boobs, stay for the brain… 
I like dancing (and spent most of my early twenties on stages doing exactly that), love salty licorice (why can’t they sell that outside Scandinavia?), dogs and horses, and clothes with colours so bright it hurts a bit to look directly at them.
I read a lot, and try not to discriminate. The books doesn’t have to be big or famous, but they have to move me, take me on a journey, and preferably leave me in wondering awe over the writer’s way with words. This makes me read less and less of Pablo Coelho, Douglas Adams, Anne Holt and Mads Larsen, and prefer Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Jan Wiese, Haruki Murakami, Carlos Ruiz Zafón, Anna Gavada and Rohinton Mistry.
I also love to travel while eating the local fruits (exept durian from Bali. Just say no!). I used to prefer small cabins under the palm trees, but have tried some city-hollidays during the last two years, and it’s really not that bad…
After finishing a bachelor degree in gender science, and working in a consultancy firm for couple of years, I started my masters degree in social anthropology in the fall of 2008. The plan is to submit my master thesis in November 2010.
As social anthropologists strive to describe and understand rather than changing, this blog will be about the huge an tiny happenings in my life, while hopefully maintaining a sensibel foundation. Or not.
